Event Description:

Established in 2003, CopaBall, Maricopa Health Foundation’s largest philanthropic event and fundraising gala supports vital community programs and charitable funding needs at Maricopa Integrated Health System (MIHS), Arizona’s only safety-net health system and public teaching hospital.

Imagine the programs we can develop, support and advance including:
• Health education and resources at Family Learning Centers across Maricopa County
• The Mariposa Wings to Safety Domestic Violence Program
• The MIHS Arizona Burn Center
• Advanced equipment and technology to train tomorrow’s physician
and nursing leaders
• The MIHS First Episode Center

Throughout its history, CopaBall has served as a venue to honor an outstanding physician and nurse with the J. Kipp Charlton Physician of Excellence Award
and the Joey Ridenour Nursing Excellence Award.

In addition, each year, the Maricopa Health Foundation pays tribute to MIHS’s 140+ year legacy in Arizona by honoring individuals and organizations who
have created important and impactful change in Arizona’s history with the Arizona Legacy Award. Recipients include: The Pendergast Family and The
Phoenix Thunderbirds.

The Fifteenth Annual CopaBall taking place at the JW Marriott Camelback Inn signifies an important milestone in the life of Maricopa Integrated Health
System and a pivotal time for the Maricopa Health Foundation to engage the philanthropic community.

MIHS has officially launched its Care Reimagined Program which will bring Arizona’s flagship public teaching hospital and safety-net health system into the
21st Century with modern facilities, leading-edge technology and thoughtfully-planned access to excellence for the communities it serves.

With this great development comes great a great opportunity for the Valley’s philanthropic community. Bond funds raised for Care Reimagined are restricted
to buildings and facilities – the rest is us up to us…
