Tiffani Thiessen Shares Throwback Swimsuit Photo as ‘Research’ for ‘Saved by the Bell’ Reboot

Kelly Kapowski is getting ready for her close-up.

With Tiffani Thiessen reprising her iconic character for the upcoming “Saved by the Bell” reboot, the actress is making sure she recaptures the true essence of the Bayside High alum.

To prepare to step back into Kelly’s '90s shoes, the 46-year-old shared a flashback photo of herself from the original series wearing a green one-piece swimsuit.

The retro snap finds Thiessen striking a seductive pose as she runs her right hand through her long brown locks and a grey hoodie nonchalantly exposes her left shoulder.

She captioned the pic, “#tbt #research #characterstudy.”

Thiessen played Kelly Kapowski throughout the show’s original run from 1989 -1993 and then again in the spin-off series “Saved by the Bell: The College Years.”

Earlier this week, a new teaser trailer for the Peacock show’s reboot was released.

In the clip, Thiessen’s co-stars Mario Lopez and Elizabeth Berkley, who played AC Slater and Jessie Spano, appear in the gym they once knew and loved to house their old school dances.

The premise of the reboot revolves around a culture clash when low-income students are sent to Bayside High and other schools in the area at the advice of California Governor Zack Morris, played by Mark-Paul Gosselaar.

While Thiessen and Gosselaar do not appear in the reboot’s trailer, both are set to return since Zack and Kelly’s son, Mac Morris (played by Mitchell Hoog), is now a student at the school.

Even before reteaming on the reboot, Thiessen, Gosselaar, Lopez and Berkley have remained good friends throughout the years since the original series went off the air.

“We’re still close! It’s kind of like an odd, sort of, not related, but brotherly-sisterly kind of thing,” Thiessen recently told Hollywood Life. “We spent a lot of time together in very informative years that had a huge impact in my life.”

Dustin Diamond (Screech) and Lark Voorhiees (Lisa Turtle) are not expected to appear on the new series.

Peacock has yet to announce a premiere date for the “Saved by the Bell” reboot.
