Kate Middleton stuns in fashionable and sustainable fall denim dress

September 29, 2020

Denim dresses are the perfect addition to your casual fall wardrobe… just ask Kate Middleton.

The Duchess of Cambridge made a statement by rocking the simple fall-friendly style during an outing with her family to meet with Sir David Attenborough.

Sir David recently cemented a spot in the Guinness World Records for the fastest time to reach one million followers. He beat “Friends” actress Jennifer Aniston, who previously held the title.

The picture-perfect royal family coordinated in earthy shades of blue, but Middleton’s dress immediately rose to the ranks of fall fashion inspiration.

People notes the dress was part of Gabriela Hearst’s pre-fall 2020 collection, and is already sold out despite the steep price tag of $1,590.

The Marley belted cotton-chambray shirt dress isn’t just fashionable, it’s also sustainable as it is made from repurposed denim.

In a blog post on the designer's website, the pre-fall line is described as “one of the most sustainable collections that we do, because we work from sketches and swatches.”

"We don't even develop one sample, because we have plenty of preexisting materials," Hearst added.

The eco-friendly look matched the theme of the meeting with the original “Planet Earth” narrator and historian as the Kensington Palace Instagram account revealed they discussed their "shared passion for protecting the natural world" by tackling environmental changes.

Last September, her sister-in-law Meghan Markle donned a J.Crew chambray shirtdress to cheer on Serena Williams during the 2019 U.S Open.
