COUNTRY CARES CONCERT to benefit The Granite Mountain Hotshots’ families

Dierks Bentley, The Band Perry, Randy Houser and David Nail joined KMLE Nation and KAFF Country to put out the call for support, and you answered to the tune of $442, 252.27 that goes directly to assist the families of the 19 Granite Mountain Hotshots!

We packed house at Tim Toyota’s Center in Prescott Valley, and together we all turned a tragedy into a celebration of life.

Starting out the evening was David Nail followed by Randy Houser. During a brief break we called Donut (Brendan McDonough) the 20th member of the Granite Mountain Hotshots) to the stage to honor him with a very special KMLE Hometown Hero belt buckle.

Following the presentation The Band Perry brought a tear to everyone’s eyes when they sang “If I Die Young” and then picked up the pace with there newest number one single “Done” and check out the video for the story behind the ‘ugh’!

Dierks Bentley mixed his show with upbeat party start and then played a new song with video slide show of the 19 fallen Hotshots. It was his first-ever live performance of a new song, ‘Here on Earth.’ There was not a dry eye in the stadium.

Then Dierks took to the stage and really knocked it out of the park. Dierks finished the show with Home that started bagpipe intro by the Rural Metro Pipe and Drum Corp.Dierks Bentley - Country Cares Concert (17)
