George Strait: 5 Greatest Songs of All-time

With George Strait set to perform tonight in Phoenix we wanted to compile a list of his-all time greatest songs. With a total of 60 number one hits narrowing it down to 5 wasn’t easy but we were up for the challenge. Checkout our list below and catch the King of Country tonight at the US Airways Center for his “The Cowboy Rides Away” tour.

5. “I Cross My Heart” from the “Pure Country” soundtrack starts off our list at number 5.  The romantic tune can still be heard today on country radio 20 years after its original release.

4. “You Look So Good in Love” from George Straits 1983 release “Right or Wrong” comes in at the 4th spot on our list.  Strait sings the tale of watching the woman of his dreams living happily-ever-after with another man.

3. “All My Ex’s Live In Texas” is our 3rd greatest George Strait song of all-time.  From his “Ocean Front Property” album released in 1987, this song details all the lovely ladies Mr. Strait left behind in the Lone Star State.

2. Starting off the top 2 is “Give It Away” a song off Straits 24th studio album “It Just Comes Natural”.  The tune was an instant hit winning awards for Single and Song of the Year at the American Country Music Awards in 2007.

1. Finishing our list as George Straits greatest song of all time is “Check Yes or No” from his 1995 album “Strait Out of the Box”.  One of Straits most celebrated tunes, this sweet tale is our greatest George Strait song of all time.
