Apparently all those country songs about four-wheelers and pickups weren’t kidding: there is “Somethin’ ‘Bout a Truck.” The currently single from Kip Moore just made it to the very top of the Billboard Country Songs chart this week. It takes over the top slot from Jason Aldean, who was at Number One the previous week with “Fly Over States.” That songs drops to Number Two.

The Top Five on the Billboard Country Songs chart is filled out by “No Hurry” (the Zac Brown Band), “Springsteen” (Eric Church), and “Good Girl” (Carrie Underwood).

As for albums, Carrie Underwood‘s Blown Away leads the pack on the Country Albums chart, followed by Lionel Richie (Tuskegee), Luke Bryan (Tailgates & Tanlines), Willie Nelson (Heroes, which makes its chart debut this week at Number Four), and Eric Church (Chief).

Underwood, Richie, Bryan, and Nelson are also listed this week in the Top 20 of the Billboard 200 album chart, which covers best-selling albums across all genres.

Written by Moore and songwriter Dan Couch, “Somethin’ ‘Bout a Truck” was reflective of Moore’s life growing up in a small South Georgia town.

“I think anybody that comes from a small town has lived that song,” Moore said about his new Number One when the album it resides on, Up All Night, was released last month. “When you are from a small town like I am, there’s not a whole lot to do. You have to make your own fun and there’s a lot of sitting in fields, and a whole lot of Bud Light and fishing poles. It was all you needed back then – a truck bed, beer, a radio and good company with you.”
